Tomorrow, May 24th, the Rock Show opens at Blue Line Arts and I have two of my drawings included in the exhibit – punk legends Patti Smith and Henry RollinsPattiSmithLineDrawing.jpgrollins.jpgThis is going to be a really fun show! The Opening Reception in June 15th, the week after my solo show reception. Unfortunately, I have the 2nd part of my periodontics surgery scheduled on the Wednesday between the 2 receptions. But I’ll be there – with rings on my fingers and a mouth full of stitches! #motrinismycopilot
So, June is going to be something! But I’ll worry about all of that tomorrow because tonight is Big Names Small Art at the Crocker Art Museum!!

Anything Goes @ Lincoln Arts

The Art League of Lincoln is hosting a mixed-media show “Anything Goes” and I’ll have 3 pieces included in the exhibit! The show will run from March 1st to April 1st, 2017

Dia De Las Almas at Studio 10

I was asked to Include my painting Memento Mori in this year’s Day of the Dead show at Studio 10. So I had to find just the right frame for this canvas and I think I nailed it! 


oh yes! So come out to Arthouse on R this 2nd Saturday (October 8th) and celebrate with amazing art, jewelry, food, drinks and friends! Bring a photo of a loved one to place on the community altar!

Politically Charged

My first soft sculpture, “As American As Apple Pie”, will be a part of Blue Line Art‘s upcoming show Politically Charged. I saw a few of the other included works this afternoon when I dropped my piece off, and it looks like it is going to be a really exciting show! 


The show opens this Friday, Aug 26th and runs through October 1st, 2016. The 3rd Saturday Receiption is September 17th.

Woman in the Convex Mirror

The multi-talented Bethanie Humphreys invited me to participate in a show she is curating at the Sacramento Poetry Center – Woman in the Convex Mirror: Women’s Self-Portraits.

The show opens next Sunday February 28th and runs through March 26th. The reception will be on 2nd Saturday March 12 from 5-8pm.  I will also be a part of the artist talk at the reception. It should be an interesting discussion of why we create and show works with ourselves as the subject. 

 

I also have paintings at Ambrosia at 621 on the Capitol Mall in Sacramento for the next 3 months! I’ve hung 13 paintings – several of my ‘Visual Quest’ mixed-media paintings, an encaustic painting, and 6 of my newest oil and cold wax paintings.
