Oh hell, you didn’t really think I would post the next installment of our Boston trip recap the very next day as promised did you? What are ya new?! Well, I did have good intentions. I just didn’t foresee getting sick. I blame Kyle. So, a mere 4 days late, I give you my Friday in Boston: Chris had another meeting to attend, so after sleeping in a bit, I headed out to the Museum of Fine Arts. King Menkaura (Mycerinus) and queen Virgin and Child with Saint John the Baptist by Sandro Botticelli Ecce Homo by Hieronymus Bosch (sadly lacking in demons) Part of the Richard Avedon Fashion exhibit While I saw some great art, I still think the Detroit Institute of Arts is a superiour museum. I’ve been spoiled. But I will say that the MFA’s gift shop has the best art book collection I’ve ever seen! And then the museum turned into a casino and it took me another hour to get the hell out of it. damn. By the time I got back to the hotel, Chris was done with his meetings. Yay! And we headed back out to see the city. We walked along the…

More than a feeling
I love love loved Boston! I no longer love shoes. I also discovered that I do not love puddle-jumpers or red-eyes. In fact, I’m not sure I like flying at all anymore. I certainly did not like that panicky feeling that had me pacing the aisle of the plane in the middle of the night. And I’m pretty sure Chris did not enjoying sitting in the middle seat so that I could have the aisle seat on the second half of each flight. So going forward there will be Valium or Xanax ingested before any flights. And once those prescriptions are procured, I will gladly go back to Boston! Cause just look at this city: Boston waterfront. Our hotel, the Intercontinental, is tucked behind the green glass building on the left. Boston Financial District The buildings rock! View of the harbor from the 4th floor of the ICA. Nice huh? So after the flight to San Francisco and the red-eye to Boston, we checked into our hotel Thursday morning and took a nap! Then at noon Chris left for his business meeting and I split to check out the city. I crossed the harbor and walked over the the Institute…
I can’t take the pressure!!
Well, that blood pressure medicine I was taking finally kicked in on Tuesday and it was not good. My blood pressure was low. Way low. Passing out now low. So a quick call to the doctor’s office and that experiment is done. No more Norvasc for me. Two days later I’m starting to feel normal again. Well, normal for me. shut up. Turns out I’m going to need my energy, I’ve got a lot of work to get done this weekend. Vox has found a new home and I’m happy to say that I’m going to be exhibiting in the October show! And we hang that show on Monday!! Looks like I’m gonna be framing some photographs and transfers over the next couple days. Also on my to-do list – self portraits for my photography class. gah. Luckily the critique has been pushed back a week so I have a bit more time to get the roll shot, developed, and an enlargement made. But I can’t continue slackin’ on this for long, because in 2 weeks Chris and I are going to Boston for a long weekend! So to recap: This weekend: shoot some photos and frame some other photos.…
